Hanna Lodin was only ten seconds behind, but in the end the Norwegians Anikken Gjerde Alnæs and Silje Øyre Slind were fastest. In a sprint battle, Alnæs took her fourth victory in the long-distance cup this season. Stina Nilsson – who won the Birkebeinerrennet last year – came in sixth place.
The best Swede in the men's race was Oskar Strid, who finished seventh, just ahead of Alvar Myhlback. Both crossed the finish line just over four minutes behind the winner, Torleif Syrstad.
Vasaloppet winner Oskar Kardin had a tough race. After just a few seconds, one of his poles broke, and he finished in 27th place.
