Harald Østberg Amundsen has taken home two of four stages so far under Tour de Ski – which he won last season – but the 26-year-old is now leaving Italy and is on his way home to Norway.
Amundsen won both the New Year's Day pursuit and the 20-kilometer race on New Year's Eve. He is third in the overall standings – 57 seconds behind his fellow countryman Johannes Høsflot Klæbo. Swede Edvin Anger is second in the overall standings and is 36 seconds behind Klæbo.
Amundsen has won two more World Cup races this season and leads the overall standings.
Earlier during Tour de Ski, the Swedish women's team has been affected by withdrawals due to illness. Both Johanna Hagström and Maja Dahlqvist have abandoned and gone home with cold symptoms.
Tour de Ski continues with a sprint in classical style in Val di Fiemme on Friday. On Saturday, a 20-kilometer skiathlon awaits, before everything is decided with a climb up the slalom slope Alpe Cermis on Sunday.
