At the World Championship, this is the worst Norwegian placement on the women's side since the sprint relay was introduced to the program 20 years ago. At the Olympic Games three years ago, Norway finished in eighth place.

Now, Skistad and Lotta Udnes Weng dreamed of a better placement on home turf in Trondheim.

It's sad when there are so many people in attendance, you wish you had done better. Today, we weren't better, says Skistad.

She explains that there was something "physical" that didn't work.

I had an incredibly tough time on the last two laps. It's surprisingly bad, says Skistad.

Norway was nearly 57 seconds behind the Swedish gold duo Jonna Sundling and Maja Dahlqvist. The USA took silver and Switzerland bronze.
