The country has approximately 60 soldiers in Iraq and Jordan, according to the Norwegian Armed Forces' operational headquarters.
Some of these have been relocated as a result of the tensions in the region, in cooperation with our coalition partners, says Brynjar Stordal, lieutenant colonel and spokesperson for the Armed Forces, to VG.
He does not go into details about their whereabouts or how many soldiers remain.
The Swedish Armed Forces usually have two officers in Erbil, Iraq. However, one is on leave in Sweden, while the other has been redeployed with British personnel to Cyprus. Two more officers are on UN duty in Syria and Lebanon.
