It was during the World Championship in Trondheim earlier this year that the cheating was revealed. In a covert film, among other things, the head coach Magnus Brevig was seen sitting and watching while the suits were being sewn.

It is absolutely crucial to restore the trust in Norwegian ski jumping. This should be done together with the association's management, the ski jumping manager and his team, as well as the rest of Ski Jumping-Norway. A strong culture should be built based on the fundamental values within Norwegian sports, particularly fair play and openness, said Benum in connection with his election according to NTB.

The former chairman Stine Korsen has previously claimed her innocence and that she was not aware of the cheating.
