A total of four couples made it to this year's final of "Let's Dance", but for two of them, the journey ended after the first dance.

All four couples began the evening with their own "revenge dance" - a dance they had performed earlier in the season and which, according to the judges, had room for improvement. TikTok star Ludwig Blomqvist earned a perfect score for his samba, putting pressure on the other couples.

Despite earning the highest score of the evening, Blomqvist and influencer Lisa Borg were the first to leave the competition.

That left Norwegian artist Martinus Gunnarsen and YouTuber Lovisa "Laki" Karlsson to make up for a misstep in their respective show dances.

Laki performed a feminist-inspired dance that earned the highest score from the judges.

Strong, beautiful and a nice message, said Malin Watson.

Then it was Martinus Gunnarsen and his dance partner Paulina Rosenkvist's turn. His contemporary dance about the downsides of life as an artist completely stunned the judges.

"This shows what an incredible artist you are, absolutely world class. This may have been the biggest mic drop in the history of 'Let's Dance'," said Eric Saade.

Head judge Tony Irving, who received an honorary award during the evening after serving on the panel for 20 years, also seemed moved and said:

We have never seen anything like it.

With the famous glass shoe firmly in hand, Martinus Gunnarsen explains why he believes he will win this year's edition of "Let's Dance".

I'm the one who has worked the hardest in these dance halls.
