Norwegian has been sued on Haaland’s behalf for allegedly using the football star’s hairstyle without authorization.
“If necessary,” the airline is ready to take on Haaland, CEO Geir Karlsen has announced.
“I think it’s sad that we’ve ended up in a situation like this,” he tells the Finnish business newspaper Kauppalehti, calling it all “unfair.”
According to Norwegian media, the airline used the image in its marketing during the World Cup, showing the football player’s former hairstyle - a ponytail - on a Norwegian plane.
