The Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre is concerned about Tesla CEO, also the world's richest man, Elon Musk's involvement in other countries' domestic politics.
I think it's worrying that a man with enormous access to social media and significant economic resources interferes in other countries, says Gahr Støre in the program Political Quarter on NRK.
Elon Musk has recently been heavily criticized for, among other things, interfering in German domestic politics when he expressed his support for the far-right AfD. He has also launched a fierce attack on the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
If we were to see something similar in Norway, I hope and expect that the collective political landscape will distance itself from it, says Støre.
Elon Musk has been appointed by the incoming US President Donald Trump to be responsible for making massive savings in the American state apparatus.
Norway is the country in the world with the largest proportion of electric cars on the roads, with Tesla at the forefront.
