The Norwegian Petroleum Fund, the world's largest investment fund, does not have a single data center on the purchase list in its next three-year strategy. We are happy to look at it, says manager Alexander Knapp.

Data centers are one of the most hyped areas in the real estate industry, and the world's largest private real estate investors are competing to develop new data centers to support the AI boom.

But Alexander Knapp, head of the Norwegian Petroleum Fund's property management, says in an interview with Bloomberg that it is not something that will be an important part of the new three-year strategy.

"I just think that when things are moving really fast, you can either jump in or just watch the fish swim by. And I think we're happy to watch the fish for a while and see what happens," Knapp told Bloomberg.
