Røhme's sample contained traces of terbutaline, which comes from an asthma medication he took before a European Championship race in July.
“The doctor prescribed the asthma medication for me by mistake,” says Røhme.
Røhme is suspended from all sports during the investigation led by the International Testing Agency (ITA).
Røhme came 20th at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
