The double murder in the Lunden district in early September was one of several shootings in Gothenburg last year that are believed to be linked to a gang conflict in Biskopsgården.
Recently, two men were sentenced to life and nearly 16 years in prison, respectively, for a double murder in Biskopsgården in April last year. Now a Norwegian man in his mid-30s has been convicted of the double murder in Lunden.
In addition to murder, he is also convicted of aggravated weapons offenses and aggravated threats against an official, because he threatened the police during his arrest in Oslo.
The man has admitted firing the shots that killed the two men in Lunden, but has claimed self-defense.
