The men were found shot in the early evening of September 2. The suspect was arrested overnight after a dramatic car chase through central Oslo, Norwegian media reported in connection with the incident. He was extradited to Sweden in October.
He is also charged with aggravated weapons offenses and aggravated threats against an official, including, according to the indictment, threatening police with a gun during his arrest.
The double murder is believed to be linked to the gang conflict in Biskopsgården in Gothenburg, and was the second double murder in the city within six months. In April 2025, two men were shot dead in a parking lot in Biskopsgården.
A week after the double murder in Lunden, on September 9, another shooting occurred in Tolered on Hisingen.
