Among the charges against those detained are accessing foreign news media online or using terminals connected to Starlink.

"The charges against him relate to espionage, contacts with foreign intelligence services, or transferring images to foreign media," IHR writes.

Attempts to create so-called operational cells or to initiate an armed struggle are also mentioned among the criminal suspicions.

IHR states more precisely that 3,646 people have been arrested, of whom 767 were arrested after the ceasefire on April 8. The calculation is based on research and open sources, but the number of arrests is believed to be higher.
