Norwegian inflation slightly lower than expected

Inflation pressure persists within the Norwegian economy. In September, consumer prices rose by 0.3 percent in September compared to the previous month. Compared to the same month the previous year, prices simultaneously rose by 3.1 percent according to newly published statistics from Statistics Norway (SSB).

A rise of 3.2 percent was however expected according to market expectations.
