"I'm at a loss for words, honestly. This is more than I could have expected and it feels unreal that it happened so quickly. A dream come true," Reitan said after the victory, which gave him the equivalent of 33 million kronor.

Reitan finished at -15 and won by two strokes over Rickie Fowler of the USA and Nicolai Højgaard of Denmark. Viktor Hovland, with seven wins, was previously the only Norwegian to win on the PGA Tour.

Ludvig Åberg finished strong and had one of Sunday's best rounds, a 66 (five under par). The Swede finished eighth at -10.

This week, the second major of the season, the PGA Championship, awaits at Aronimink Golf Club outside Philadelphia. In addition to Åberg, Alex Norén and Mikael Lindberg will also be there.
