Among the items to be auctioned are signed jerseys, shoes worn by national team players, goalkeeper gloves from Ørjan Nyland, and a framed picture of the successful World Cup team in “Viking style.” The latter item has an estimated value of SEK 100,000.
"It is impossible to fully grasp or understand the difficult situation that those affected are in right now. We still hope that the proceeds from the World Cup auction can eventually help bring some joy and relief to their everyday lives," says the Swedish Football Association's chairwoman Lise Klaveness in a press release.
The auction begins on Tuesday, July 21, and runs for 24 hours.
