The Norwegian author Ingvar Ambjørnsen has passed away, 69 years old. This is confirmed by the publishing house Cappelen Damm for VG.
"It is with great sorrow we have received the news of Ingvar Ambjørnsen's passing. He is an author who has meant and means incredibly much for Norwegian literature and for us at Cappelen Damm", writes the publishing house.
Ambjørnsen is a multiple award winner and known for novels like "The last fox hunt" as well as the book series about "Pelle & the professor" and "Elling".
Several of the Elling books have been filmed and the first of them was nominated for an Oscar for best foreign film in 2002.
