The Norwegian art museum Kunstsilo receives the Prix Versailles as "the world's most beautiful art museum," reports Kulturnytt on Sveriges Radio. The museum was inaugurated in 2024 in Kristiansand and is located in the city's old grain silo from 1935, which was rebuilt.

The new Kunstsilo replaced the Sørlandets Kunstmuseum and the collections also include the Norwegian financier Nicolai Tangen's private collection of Nordic art that he donated.

The Prix Versailles is a design and architecture prize awarded annually by UNESCO to laureates who are considered to have beautified and improved the living environment. The prize is awarded in eight different categories.
