The Norwegian Arne Sandstø becomes the new head coach for Allsvenskan football team IFK Värnamo. The 58-year-old, most recently assistant coach in Danish FC Midtjylland, has signed a contract that spans two and a half years, the club writes on its website.
Värnamo has started the season miserably. Seven losses in the first seven rounds are the worst start ever in Allsvenskan and the coaching duo Ferran Sibila and Robin Asterhed got fired already after the sixth defeat.
Over the weekend, the losing streak was broken when Värnamo played 1–1 against Gais.
