Norwegian and Danish Inflation Rates Drop Sharply in March

The Norwegian inflation fell unexpectedly much in March, new figures show. The price increase rate is also falling in Denmark.

In Norway, the inflation, the price increase rate on an annual basis, landed at 2.6 percent. It was lower than the economists' average forecast of 2.9 percent and significantly lower than the inflation of 3.6 percent in February.

In Denmark, the inflation rate fell from 2.0 percent in February to 1.5 percent in March, according to official statistics.
