Norway's Queen Sonja has had a pacemaker implanted.
"The procedure was successful and the queen is doing well", writes the Norwegian royal house in a press release on Thursday.
The 87-year-old queen was admitted to Rigshospitalet in Oslo on Wednesday afternoon. She suffered from heart palpitations during a skiing trip on Saturday and was taken to hospital in Lillehammer for observation. She was discharged from there on Sunday.
The queen will remain in hospital for one to two days.
