In response to a written question from the liberal Venstre party in the Norwegian parliament, Støre chose to state that there is still no concrete proposal from the EU to take a position on, reports the news agency NTB.
"The European Council has asked the Commission to continue working on various possibilities," writes Støre, among other things, and promises to keep the Storting informed of developments.
Large parts of the Norwegian opposition and also Danish debaters and ex-politicians have recently urged Norway to use its gigantic oil fund as collateral for a multi-billion dollar loan from the EU to Ukraine.
