Norway is sending around 100 soldiers and a number of F-35 fighter jets to Poland to protect an airport near the border with Ukraine.
"The situation in Ukraine is critical, and the transportation of materials to the country is largely going through Poland", says Norway's Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram (Sp) in a press release.
The soldiers will, among other things, work with security around the operations at Rzeszów airport.
"In this way, Norway is contributing to ensuring that aid to Ukraine gets through so that Ukraine can continue its fight for freedom", the Defense Minister continues.
