Several roads have been closed due to heavy rain in Norway, with subsequent risk of landslides. Orange weather warnings – the highest level – have been issued.

E16 near Lærdal has been closed after a landslide at two places.

–A small outhouse has been dragged away, but there are no cars or people in the landslide, says Tatjana Knappen, the police, to NRK.

The road will be closed at least until lunchtime on Friday, reports NTB. A stretch of Trollstigen has also been closed due to the risk of landslides, and there is a risk of congestion.

The rain and thunderstorm is moving north during the evening. According to the meteorological institute in Norway, 35 millimeters of precipitation can fall within the span of an hour.
