After a goalless first half, Norway scored their first goal in the 43rd minute through Marcus Holmgren Pedersen.
The game had barely begun in the second half when superstar Erling Haaland scored the team's second goal - a strike that made history. He is now Norway's top scorer in Men's World Cup history.
Senegal managed to equalize through a goal from Ismaila Sarr in the 53rd minute, but the now-historic Haaland was unstoppable. In the 58th minute, he did it again - and the team went up 3–1.
Sarr didn't want to make it that easy for his opponents, however - and scored his second goal of the match in the third minute of added time. But it wasn't enough for Senegal, who were defeated.
