The violent and degrading treatment that the Norwegian participants in the Gaza convoy have reported was completely unacceptable, State Secretary Andreas Motzfeldt Kravik (Ap) told the news agency.
Four Norwegians were among the approximately 430 activists who tried to bring emergency aid to Gaza in about 50 small boats this spring.
The boats were boarded by Israeli forces in international waters and the activists were taken to Israel. Many of them have reported being mistreated in captivity.
Several people were hospitalized with injuries, including Norwegians. Dozens have reported being subjected to sexual assault, including rape.
The activists were also openly mocked and humiliated by Israeli Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
