Negotiations between unions and employers broke down over the weekend. On Thursday morning, the strike was expanded to include another 1,000 people.
A total of 2,668 employees are on strike, the union says.
We can continue until we reach a result that we are satisfied with, says the chairman of the Swedish Confederation of Trade Unions, Christian Justnes, to NRK.
The dispute is about, among other things, wages and terms for sickness benefits.
