Norway will support the Ukrainian military with 2.6 billion Norwegian kronor. The money will, among other things, go towards supporting Ukraine against Russian attacks in the Black Sea.
Ukraine needs more support to be able to weaken the Russian forces in the Black Sea going forward. It is necessary to protect the Ukrainian population and infrastructure against attacks from the Russian Black Sea Fleet, says Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.
The economic support will also go towards mine clearance and training of Ukrainian soldiers.
