In a statement, the association writes that it "believes that Johan Eliasch should not continue to lead FIS" and that several ski associations have expressed concern about the development of FIS under his leadership.
In early June, a new chairman will be elected at the congress in Belgrade, and Johan Eliasch is one of five candidates. The Swedish-British man was nominated after he was granted Georgian citizenship and was thus put forward by Georgia.
Eliasch has faced questions from several quarters for, among other things, pushing to allow Russian and Belarusian skiers to compete in the World Cup.
