"Norway condemns Israel's attack on Gaza last night, where over 100 people were killed, including many children", says Støre.
The Prime Minister says in the statement that Israel "uses suffering and hunger as weapons against the population in Gaza", and that there are "daily statements from the Israeli government, which says outright that it defends starvation and expulsion of the population".
"This is clearly a violation of international law", continues Støre, who urges Hamas to release the Israeli hostage and Israel to allow emergency aid to come into Gaza.
"The humanitarian situation in Gaza is catastrophic", says the Prime Minister.
