Norway is spending tens of billions on new military equipment, reports NRK and several media outlets.

According to Norwegian TV2, Norway is ordering two more submarines of the type 212CD, developed in collaboration with Germany and manufactured by Thyssen Krupp. Norway has previously ordered four. Each such submarine costs 13 billion kronor.

Norway also wants rockets with a range of 500 kilometers. This will be a new weapon for the country, whose artillery currently has a range of only 40 kilometers. In this deal, Norway will have to choose between American Himars, South Korean Chunmoo and German KNDS.
