The goal of the agreement is, among other things, to protect underwater infrastructure, such as cables.
The announcement comes after the UK Ministry of Defence stated that the number of Russian ships sighted in British waters has increased by 30 percent in the last two years.
"The goal is for Norway and the United Kingdom to be even more closely linked militarily to strengthen NATO's northern flank," Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre said in a press release.
The agreement will be signed by Norway's Minister of Defense Tore O Sandvik and his British counterpart John Healey when they both meet in London on Thursday.
