Several suppliers who were paid by Northvolt before the battery manufacturer went bankrupt are now required to repay funds to Northvolt's bankruptcy estate.

This is reported by Ekot in Sveriges Radio, which has received documents from the bankruptcy trustee.

According to Ekot, the largest claims the bankruptcy estate is seeking to recover are primarily against "large foreign companies." An investigation is also underway to determine whether it may be appropriate to demand further repayments.

Northvolt filed for bankruptcy in March last year, the largest bankruptcy in modern times in Sweden. At the time, the company had almost 5,000 employees, around 3,000 of them at the battery factory in Skellefteå.
