In Skellefteå, the interested buyer – a large international company – had conducted a comprehensive company inspection, but then dropped out. In Västerås, the buyer withdrew at the last minute.
Although new interested parties are said to have joined, time is running out. The factory in Skellefteå will already stop at the month change.
We still have a hope of selling Labs in due time, and negotiations are ongoing, says Mikael Kubu to the newspaper.
He still sees it as realistic to get a sale of the facility in Västerås, but describes the situation for the factory in Skellefteå as "a harder situation".
If it doesn't go forward, the sales process will soon be over, something that, according to Mikael Kubu, can be just a few weeks away.
We must find a solution in June or early July. If you haven't come anywhere in early July, then it's much that speaks for it being a question of a dismantling.
Mikael Kubu believes that it can still turn around.
It may be that we come a bit on the way in early July – there may be an indicative bid – and then this window can be extended a bit.
