The battery factory Northvolt's recycling plant Revolt in Skellefteå is closing. 90 people are being laid off.
The information I have is that 65 workers and 25 salaried employees are affected, says Northvolt's press chief Matti Kataja to Norran.
The idea was that Revolt would recycle exhausted batteries from Northvolt, which went bankrupt in March. The plant has been for sale since last autumn when the previous Northvolt management wanted to get rid of parts of the company that did not belong to the core business. According to Matti Kataja, the sales attempts continue.
