The man who was previously convicted of stalking ski star Frida Karlsson has been charged again. According to the indictment, he violated the restraining order by calling and texting Karlsson.
Petter Northug recognises himself in the situation and tells TT that he sympathises with Karlsson.
"The worst thing is when it gets into your private sphere, into your home, into your mental well-being. You actually get scared. And it takes incredible focus away from what you want to focus on - training," says the Norwegian during a press conference for the TV4 programme "Let's Dance."
Northug also gives advice to Karlsson:
She's going to prepare for the World Championships in Falun and needs to focus on that. My advice to her is to try to shut it out and focus on what's important.
