Northrop Grumman Reports 31% Profit Surge in Q2

The American defense group Northrop Grumman, manufacturer of the bomber B-2 Spirit, reports a profit increase to 1.43 billion dollars in operating profit for the second quarter of the year. It is an increase of 31 percent compared to the corresponding quarter last year.

The result was better than expected. Analysts had expected an operating result of 1.18 billion dollars.

Sales increased by 1.3 percent to 10.4 billion dollars.

For the full year, Northrop Grumman is adjusting the forecast to an adjusted operating result of 25.00-25.40 dollars per share. The previous forecast was 24.95-25.35 dollars per share.

The sales forecast is also being adjusted to 42.05-42.25 billion dollars, from previously 42.00-42.50 billion.

Organic growth is estimated to be around 3 percent in 2025.

Northrop Grumman manufactures, among other things, the bomber aircraft B-2 Spirit, unmanned aircraft, robot systems and so-called precision weapons. The company is also a major supplier of equipment to the space industry.
