"It is estimated that an additional 3,000 soldiers were sent between January and February as reinforcements," the South Korean defense leadership announced in a statement.
Previously, it was estimated that around 11,000 North Korean soldiers had been sent to fight against Ukraine on Russia's side, primarily in the Russian Kursk region. Among them, 4,000 are believed to have been killed or injured, according to South Korean military intelligence.
North Korea is also said to have continued to supply Russia and the Russian war of aggression with significant quantities of missiles, artillery, and grenades.
