The robots, which were launched from an area near the harbor town of Wonsan in eastern North Korea, are believed to be short-range robots according to the South Korean military. At most, they flew 800 kilometers.
The robot tests are taking place in a situation where tensions have increased on the Korean Peninsula over the past few months.
According to Lee Sung-Joon, spokesperson for South Korea's, the North Korean missile launches may possibly be a test of the performance of weapons that the country plans to export, since North Korea continues to send military equipment and soldiers to assist in Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine.
