The missiles were discovered in the morning, local time, and launched near the North Korean capital, Pyongyang.
"Our defense has tightened monitoring and vigilance for possible further launches," the South Korean military said in a statement.
Earlier this month, North Korea test-fired a ballistic missile that the regime claims was equipped with AI technology and could change trajectory at low altitude.
