The party, which was formed last year, went to the polls on, among other things, increased autonomy, fairer distribution of resources, and "a society where people in Norrland have the same opportunities as in the rest of the country."
In regional politics, the party is focusing, among other things, on having three emergency hospitals in the region and expanded care in Härnösand, Kramfors and Ånge.
Party leader Elina Arab was previously chair of the health and medical care committee in the region for the Social Democrats, while Robert Thunfors, the party's top candidate in the regional elections, was previously an opposition councillor for the Healthcare Party and later a political wild card.
Arab and Thunfors were both forced to leave their parties amid high-profile circumstances after it emerged that the two had a relationship in the autumn of 2024.
In Kramfors, the Norrlandspartiet becomes the largest party, receiving 25 percent of the votes in the municipality. Top name Peyman Vahedi left the Social Democrats for the Norrlandspartiet earlier this year. At the same time, support for S in Kramfors, which receives just over 20 percent of the votes, is halved.
