Norrland is the country's hottest housing market

According to the housing website Hemnet, the average price of condominiums rose by 1.4 percent last year compared with 2024.

About half of the counties saw rising prices, led by Värmland and Norrbotten, up 5-6 percent. Prices for condominiums fell the most in Västerbotten, a market affected by the Northvolt bankruptcy in Skellefteå, down just over four percent.

Villa prices rose by 2.1 percent nationwide. There too, prices fell the most in Västerbotten, down 3.5 percent, while Blekinge and Norrbotten counties had the strongest growth, up 7-8 percent.
