The sports manager of Allsvenskan team IFK Norrköping, Tony Martinsson, has been put on sick leave for an indefinite period following a wild boar accident. Martinsson is being treated at a hospital for fractures and has undergone an MRI examination, according to the club's website.
"I'm doing well under the circumstances, but I'll need time to recover," he says in a statement.
During Martinsson's absence, Norrköping will reorganize. Magni Fannberg will temporarily take over as acting sports manager.
IFK Norrköping has had a tough first half of the Allsvenskan season and is currently in a relegation spot, three from the bottom, ahead of Saturday's away match against fifth-placed Gais.
