"A nightmare half - we have a lot to go through," said IFK Värnamo's Axel Björnström to TV4 at halftime.
Both teams played in the Allsvenskan last year and, according to many predictions, will be fighting for promotion straight away. At home, Norrköping showed that they have their sights set on the Allsvenskan.
"Peking" broke the deadlock after just over 20 minutes of play. Elias Jemal scored on a rebound and made it 1–0. After that, Tim Prica scored twice. Albert Aleksanjan ended the first half by scoring the 4–0 goal.
In the second half, Prica scored his third goal of the day and Englishman Ryan Nelson made it 6–0.
