Four GP races remain and Lando Norris, who is chasing his first World Championship title, has got a small grip ahead of the final sprint of the Formula 1 season.
It's fantastic here, big thanks to all the fans, says Norris after the finish.
In Sunday's race in Mexico, none of the competitors were even close to threatening Norris. He won by around half a minute ahead of Charles Leclerc, Ferrari. Red Bull's Max Verstappen, world champion for the past four seasons, finished third after having vainly chased Leclerc during the final laps.
What a race, I could keep my eyes forward and concentrate, says Norris.
Oscar Piastri finished fifth and lost the overall lead to Lando Norris by the smallest possible margin. Norris has 357 points, Piastri has 356 and Verstappen has 321.
I was behind someone the whole race, and had it tough in the dirty air, says Piastri.
The next race is the São Paulo Grand Prix in Brazil in two weeks. After that, the GP races in Las Vegas, Qatar and Abu Dhabi are also waiting before the World Championship season is over.
