Three-time major winner Nordqvist finished the British Open with a round of 68, three under par. The Swede finished four over par overall in the tournament.
"I'm proud of how I went out today. I played really well," Nordqvist said at a press conference after Sunday's round.
In Nordqvist's case, however, the weekend was about more than just her own game. She also had to keep an eye on how the other Europeans were doing.
"I barely get off the course before everyone starts talking about the Solheim Cup and everything it means. Mentally I've been very tired," Nordqvist says.
Her four captain's picks will be announced on Monday.
"I think I made eight calls to players and tried to help everyone on Friday. I also had to take the piss out of a player who didn't think I was doing it the right way," she says.
Kajsa Arwefjäll finished the weekend at four over par (+10 overall), while Maja Stark went one under par (+5 overall).
