A rested Erling Braut Haaland will help Norway advance to the World Cup. Norway captain Ståle Solbakken chose to rest ten players, including Haaland, in Norway's group stage match against France, a 4-1 loss.
Haaland has scored four goals in two World Cup matches and maintains his average of two goals per match from World Cup qualifying, where the Manchester City striker scored 16 times in eight matches.
It may be needed against an Ivory Coast side that has kept a clean sheet in five of six World Cup halves and recorded a goal difference of 25-0 in eight World Cup qualifying matches.
Germany, which turned a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 deficit in the second half of the group stage match, is the only team to have scored against Ivory Coast so far in the World Cup.

World Cup fever is in full swing in Mexico City and other parts of the country. After Mexico's third straight victory in the home World Cup, it was reported that over 800,000 people gathered in the streets and squares of the capital to dance and celebrate.
Mexico is plagued by major problems on a daily basis, not least due to the strong influence of drug cartels through violence and economic crime.
Now people can escape into the football fever and rejoice in Mexico's success.
"People are super happy. Mexico sends a greeting to the world of fun, joy and excitement," Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said last week.
Another person who danced and celebrated was Ecuador's national team captain, the Argentine Sebastian Beccacece, after the 2-1 victory over Germany, which meant his team advanced to the round of 16.
