Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark have agreed to buy drones together, reports Swedish Yle.

The decision was made in Helsinki on Wednesday.

According to Finland's Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen, it is advantageous to buy together since the technology in the industry is continuously developing.

The agreement also involves cooperation on research, development and exchange of information.

We facilitate operations on Nordic territory by streamlining cooperation in the sector for unmanned aerial vehicles. At the same time, we intensify our Nordic cooperation in support of Ukraine, he says to Yle.

It does not appear what type of support to Ukraine it is a matter of.
