From a Swedish perspective, the Chairman of Svenskt Näringsliv, Jacob Wallenberg, and Martin Lundstedt, CEO of Volvo, were present when several Nordic business leaders met with the region's leaders, ahead of a top meeting just outside Åbo.
In connection with the meeting on Monday, the participating five countries' prime ministers, as well as the leaders of Åland, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands, emphasized the importance of deepened Nordic cooperation within quantum technology, including communication, sensors, and cryptography.
Besides developing ethical and technology-friendly regulations and promoting the use of quantum technology "for the benefit of society", the goal is also to profile the Nordic region as an attractive region for quantum investments and companies, as well as developing the technology's defense aspects.
