This concerns Sami, the Swedish Musicians' Association, the Swedish Professional Musicians' Association and the Scen & Film Union. Together, they demand that musicians' rights be respected and that music not be used for AI services without consent.
"We see how large commercial agreements are concluded between record labels, AI companies and platforms like Spotify, without artists and musicians being given influence or the opportunity to give their consent. Those who create the value are left out. This imbalance must be corrected," says Stefan Lagrell, CEO of Sami (the Swedish Artists and Musicians' Interest Organization), in a press release.
